美國賭城拉斯維加斯1日晚間發生駭人槍擊案，至少造成59死、515人傷慘重。中華民國駐舊金山台北經濟文化辦事處表示，一名台灣人疑似失聯，目前正協尋這位台灣民眾，除此之外暫無其他緊急狀況。
拉斯維加斯的僑務屬駐舊金山台北經濟文化辦事處的服務範圍，辦事處當地時間2日中午發布新聞稿表示，昨晚槍擊案發後，辦事處立即啟動緊急應變機制。
辦事處表示，有一名台僑打電話到使館表示，一名朋友目前下落不明，辦事處也正透過管道了解中，同時也向內華達州州立大學（UNLV）校方查詢，並聯繫內華達州立大學台灣同學會，確定台灣學生都平安。
文化辦事處提醒台灣民眾，最近前往賭城與鄰近地區，務必提高警覺注意自身安全，避免出入人潮聚集處，如果國人有緊急需求，請撥打緊急聯絡電話，美國地區可撥打1-415-2651351，美國以外地區可撥打011-800-0885-0885。
